Located on Section 2 of Jin Guo Road, La Miette specializes in European cuisine and Italian pasta dishes. The overall ambiance is quite refined, with prices set on the higher side. However, this dining experience presented a polarized feeling of "notable highlights but also many discrepancies."

The soup served before the meal was standard, with the right thickness and seasoning, but it didn’t bring any particular surprises.

For the appetizer, the "Classic Spanish Spiced Garlic Olive Oil Shrimp" didn’t deliver enough flavor from the spices and garlic, and the shrimp lacked the freshness and bounce expected. Compared to versions I've had at other restaurants, this one fell short 🧄.

The "Oven-Baked Cheese Mushroom Stuffed with Meat" looked appealing, but upon tasting, it had a unique tea egg flavor that was quite special.

The "Smoked Salmon and Clam Risotto" had a well-balanced smoky flavor from the salmon without overpowering it, instead highlighting the sweetness of the clams. The sauce was rich and clean, making it a highly recommended dish.

The "Squid Ink Risotto" was the standout of the day; it was excellent, with squid ink permeating the rice deeply, giving each bite a profound marine flavor, and the clams were exceptionally fresh, making this dish one of the highlights of the meal.

The "Classic Handcrafted Bacon Creamy Egg Noodles" was relatively mediocre, with a seasoning that was too light; the flavor of the egg and the salty richness of the bacon did not come together as strongly as expected 🍳.

The "Sea's Bounty Pasta" was on the dry side, with hard noodles, and there wasn’t enough integration between the seafood elements and the sauce, leading to disappointment due to high expectations.

The dessert "Chiffon Cake" unexpectedly turned out to be a low point, lacking fluffiness and moisture, falling short of even the basic standards of an average bakery.

The "Cheese" had a smooth texture, was sweet and pleasant to eat, but similarly lacked distinctive features, fitting the category of tasty but forgettable.

La Miette has several dishes that performed remarkably well, particularly the risottos, showcasing the freshness of ingredients and skillful seasoning. However, there were significant discrepancies with other dishes, especially the appetizers and desserts, which did not meet expectations. If you purely want to try the main courses, this place still offers certain value, but if you're looking for a complete and refined dining experience, you might be somewhat disappointed. I recommend focusing on the risotto series during your next visit and avoiding the appetizers and cake, to truly enjoy La Miette's strengths.

I finally found time to eat at a nice-looking place I spotted on Google Maps! The sign wasn't very prominent, so it's easy to miss if you're not paying attention. The entrance makes the place look small, but once you step inside, it's a whole new world. ❤️ The interior decor is beautiful, and the atmosphere is great for a date. There's no break in the middle of the day, and you can also come for afternoon tea. (๑•̀ᄇ•́)و ✧

On a Wednesday afternoon at 4 PM, we were the only guests. The staff took our orders from the menu.

I wanted to eat an omelet and a main course, so we finally decided to order the couple’s set for $1280.

Garden Salad:
It's a very simple salad, just the size of an appetizer, without excessive seasoning.

French Bread:
It was toasted before being served. The crust is crispy and warm, while the inside is fluffy.

Daily Soup:
Today’s soup is pumpkin cream soup. The pumpkin flavor is rich, and the soup is on the thicker side.

Pan-Seared Chicken Thigh Omelet:
This was my favorite dish of the day; it was really delicious. (✪ω✪) The portion was quite satisfying, and it could completely serve as a main dish. The chicken thigh was perfectly cooked, and the eggs were seasoned with onions and other ingredients.

"Fisherman with Courage" Shrimp Risotto:
Their risotto and pasta names are quite interesting. XD It’s seafood and sea urchin risotto, with a generous amount of seafood that tastes very fresh. The sea urchin flavor is rich, and the risotto has a nice al dente texture. Besides the pure risotto, there are other ingredients mixed in (but I couldn't tell what they were) that enhance the texture. It's best enjoyed hot; it gets a little overwhelming if it cools down.

Classic Handmade Bacon and Creamy Egg Pasta:
The bacon is crispy, and the stir-fried pasta is seasoned just right.

As expected, the portion for the couple's meal was still too much for us. XD We ate until we were really full. The main courses weren't particularly impressive, but the service was excellent. They helped clear the empty plates, and the timing of the dishes being served was spot on. It's a great place for dates or afternoon tea, and I would be willing to visit again.
