The pork cutlet and tenderloin were large, crispy, and juicy, but the thick-cut pork loin was disappointing, as the meat was dry and the fat felt heavy. The omelet and seaweed side dish were delicious.
The interior has a homely Japanese atmosphere and is located in a residential area. The decorations are also characteristically Japanese, evoking a sense of nostalgia.
The staff are friendly and provide pleasant service.
📍Beitou District, Taipei City (MRT Xinbeitou Station)
The goal is to challenge the thickest fried pork chop in Taiwan 🎯🐖
Located on a residential area street, the decor has a Japanese family-style shop vibe, and there is also a bar area.
The shop specializes in super thick pork chops, and they have a "Real Man" giant thick pork chop that looks very substantial.
The pork chops come in two options: with curry or salad 🥗
There are also options for dipping sauces for the pork chop and salad.

🐖 Thick-cut pork loin chop - Classic signature ($260):
I’m not a fan of curry, so I chose the combination with salad and omelet, which also came with miso soup.
When served, I found the best part of the meal to be the omelet and the seaweed side dish.
The chosen pork chop is supposed to have good meat quality with intermuscular fat, but I was very disappointed 😞
The meat was divided into two parts: the lean part was extremely dry, bland, and not juicy at all, while the fatty end was tough to swallow due to being too greasy.
This was the first time I encountered such poor quality fried pork chop, and in the end, I couldn't finish it.
🍛 Original beef rib curry rice ($220):
My mom’s meal; she said it was a very average Japanese curry with no memorable points.
The side dish I chose was a homemade pudding, which had a chemical taste and was very unpleasant to eat.

Will I visit again: No!

[Atmosphere of the Restaurant 🐷]
I visited on a weekday night, and the place was fully booked, which shows it’s a popular restaurant! It's truly a Japanese-style tonkatsu place, with easy-to-understand Japanese on the menu, and the magazines and decorations inside overflowed with a Japanese touch!
The cleanliness was great, and the staff were friendly! ✨
It's one of the places I want to visit when I miss Japan! Haha
[Food Evaluation 🐷]
For the main dish, you can choose either loin or tenderloin cutlet, and you can also choose between white rice or omurice curry.
I went for the thick cut loin cutlet + white rice 🍚
The cutlet was large, crispy, and juicy ◎
You can choose from 5 types of sauce, and I opted for the rare wasabi mayo. It had a refreshing taste from the wasabi, and the mayo made it even more enjoyable with the rice!
The portion of the cutlet is quite generous, so I felt full, but after a long time of not eating this, I also felt a bit of heaviness in my stomach 😓
You can also choose a side of pudding or miso soup, and there were many sauces I wanted to try, so I definitely want to visit again!
