Lao Cai fried buns
This time, I was attending an event at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. When I passed by the Gongguan MRT station, I bought the famous Lao Cai pan-fried buns. This store's fried buns are also considered a famous store, but this is my first time trying them. I bought a fresh meat bun and a chive bun. They only cost 20 yuan each, which is really affordable. I also bought a cup of soy milk and black tea, which was also 20 yuan.

🥟 Fresh meat buns - NT$20
After biting into the fresh meat bun, the meat inside was very juicy and the amount of meat was generous. The skin of the buns is not too thick, and the overall taste is quite good, especially at the price of 20 yuan, which is really a good deal. But it's a little oily.

🫒 Chive bun - 20 yuan
Compared with fresh meat buns, the skin of leek buns is relatively thicker. The fillings are mainly the common leek scrambled eggs and glass noodles. The taste is relatively bland and not as amazing as the fresh meat buns. Overall, the fresh meat buns are more recommended.

🥤 Soy milk black tea - 20 yuan
It comes in a small cup that is common in breakfast restaurants. For the price of 20 yuan, there is nothing to fault. It tastes a little sweet, but still has a strong bean flavor.
Overall, Lao Cai Pan-fried Buns is a good snack choice when passing by. Considering the prices in Taipei, the price/performance ratio here is unbeatable, especially the fresh meat buns, which are really worth every penny. 😊
