The Gongguan shopping district is a battleground for beverage shops. Almost every shop in the row is a drink store, so the competition is fierce. Da Ming is currently a beverage shop that isn’t near my home. Every time I visit the Gongguan shopping district, I will come and buy a cup.
🌟Winter Melon Yu Lu Qing (Winter Melon Green Tea)
Basically, this should be the winter melon green tea from other beverage shops, which is winter melon tea combined with green tea. However, the winter melon tea from this shop is quite sweet. When paired with unsweetened tea without extra sugar and a bit of ice, it still ends up being a bit too sweet. Next time, I might choose to add more ice for a better balance. The winter melon tea has a wonderful aroma, and the combination with the green tea is always delicious 😋 I highly recommend this for people who enjoy sweet drinks as well 😋
If I were to say that Five Gorges is the most consistently high-quality beverage shop, then Da Ming, which originated in Taichung and has very few branches in Taipei, is, in my personal opinion, the best place for single tea (green tea)!

This time I had the green tea, and I feel that the flavor is quite light. Their half-sugar option is also less sweet compared to Five Gorges. The shop offers two types of ice: regular and completely without ice, which is quite special (though I’m not sure what the exact difference is).
The prices for single tea are also pretty reasonable, similar to other chain stores!
I heard that their most famous item is the avocado cream cap, but I don’t really dare to eat avocado, so I didn’t get the chance to try it, which is a bit of a pity.

There are many choices for drinks when you come to Da Ming. The most famous drinks are roasted sugar buckwheat jelly milk green, apple jade green and avocado milk cap series. I have tried all of them and they are all delicious, but I still have one every time. A must-order is the nostalgic classic milk tea. The aroma of the tea is really strong. It is recommended to order a little sugar. It is really delicious!
