The restaurant's menu is very diverse, with each dish having its unique characteristics. I especially recommend the affordable and fresh sea urchin sashimi salad, paired with a special sauce that makes each bite satisfying.
Although the restaurant does not take reservations, there is always a long line outside, and the atmosphere here is lively and full of anticipation.
Even with many guests, the local staff still warmly welcomes everyone, making one feel the attentive service.
This restaurant is very famous in Peru, and even after opening a hotel in Santiago, it hasn't affected the business of the main store at all. Interestingly, this restaurant 🍴 does not accept reservations, but no one thinks it's unfair; instead, people wait at the door even before it opens, regardless of whether it's raining ☔️ or sunny 🌞. Every time I pass by, there are long queues at the entrance. This time, I finally had the opportunity to wait right at opening time. The wait from lining up to when the doors opened was about 15 minutes, and I finally succeeded in getting a seat!
Even with a lot of customers, the locals were very warm in serving us, and upon being seated, they presented us with their famous little cookies, which are actually just some sweet potato or purple sweet potato 🍠 chips, but they are deliciously fragrant and slightly sweet!
We were indecisive about ordering at the restaurant, but I believe that anything you pick randomly will be delicious... We originally ordered only three dishes, but after seeing the dishes at the next table, we silently added one more. Every dish from start to finish had its own unique characteristics, and I especially recommend—
❤️ Sea Urchin Sashimi Salad
Normally, a plate of sea urchin like this would be super expensive, but here the price is very reasonable, and the portion is generous. It's incredibly fresh, and each bite is full of sweet and savory flavors, especially when paired with that specific sauce you can only find in Central and South America; every bite is both appetizing and satisfying!
I highly recommend this restaurant. If you have the chance, you really must come and try it out. They manage to give each dish a special texture that makes you want to keep eating; I really want to come back each time to try different dishes! I suggest arriving about 15 to 20 minutes before opening to avoid waiting too long outside!
