The texture of the sweet not spicy is chewy, with the broth's salty flavor permeating throughout. The rice blood cake and white radish are also very flavorful, making the overall taste quite satisfying.
The atmosphere inside the store is lively, with quick table turnover; the environment is bustling and full of energy.
Due to the large number of guests, the staff occasionally overlooked some details in their reception, but the overall service is still satisfactory.
A-Lai's Tain Bu La at Zhongxiao Hospital.
Highlight! Tain Bu La! 😆
Meal
Tain Bu La (small), one serving is 60 NTD.
Their Tain Bu La is very famous, so much so that it has been recommended multiple times by various people.
First, let's talk about the Tain Bu La. The turnover is quick, and it doesn’t overcook, so the skin is puffed up, but the inside still has a nice chew. The salty broth seeps into the sweet Tain Bu La, making it delicious.
Rice blood cake, just one piece... It’s flavorful, with the outer layer being soft and slightly salty from the broth, and the glutinous rice inside is tasty, making you want another piece...
Meatballs, small in size, are real pork balls.
White radish, very transparent, with the broth directly inside. Tain Bu La in a hot pot is best enjoyed with this kind of radish. There's no overcooked white radish, with two pieces, one to taste first and the last one to finish off, perfect.
The two small meatballs are delicious! One has some vegetables, crunchy but with only a little bit of veggies. The other one is very soft and quite sweet; it’s also really good, and if I wasn’t so full... I would really want another bowl...
And then, I’ll have a bowl of broth. Although I know it’s high in sodium... but when going out to eat, it’s all about enjoying!
A-Lai Sweet Potato Noodles is located on Tongde Road in Nangang District, near Houshanpi MRT Station and Zhongxiao Hospital. This sweet potato noodle place has been famous in Nangang for over twenty years, relying solely on this one item, with many customers dining in and quite a few waiting for takeout at most times.
Today I enjoyed sweet potato noodles with vermicelli, priced at 85 NT dollars.
Sweet potato noodles with vermicelli: Each item of the sweet potato noodles is incredibly delicious, with the fish paste products full of elasticity and not falling apart. The blood cake is moderately soft and very easy to eat. The delicate vermicelli paired with a refreshing and rich broth is definitely a pleasure. The radish soaked with broth is so delicious that it makes you forget to let it cool down.
Even if you finish the sweet potato noodles, you can go to the soup area to get hot soup, and they won’t stop you from drinking it, which is a great benefit.
Overall, being hailed as the most delicious sweet potato noodles in Taipei, I think it’s not without reason. The restaurant has almost never stopped serving customers, and while there might be slight oversights from the staff due to the large number of customers, the quality is undeniable. Before completing this review, I also took out several times along the way, and each time the taste remained unchanged, with very stable quality.
Highly recommended to everyone!
