Niu Dafu is a two-story building.
The first floor mainly serves hot stir-fried dishes, but there are also hot pot options available.
The second floor is primarily for hot pot, with a self-service style for vegetables and other ingredients.
Today we ate on the first floor.
The beef hot pot came out with a full pot for only $550, super cheap!
However, the thickly sliced meat is a bit more expensive; one plate costs $500.
But we ordered it to drink as soup, without cooking the meat.
The #ScallionBeef and #StirFriedBeefOffal were delicious!
Full of wok hei – definitely a must-try!
The #ColdCrispyTripe and #BitterMelonBeef were decent.
The #SesameOilBeefKidney was quite a disappointment.
The first bite didn’t taste salty, and there wasn't enough sesame oil.
The next moment, I noticed a fishy taste, as it wasn't cleaned properly.
After asking the kitchen to re-cook it, it became salty but still had that fishy flavor.
We hardly touched the whole plate.
Even though we had a misstep,
my family has eaten at Niu Dafu a few times already,
and it’s still a pretty good restaurant.
