🍗 Zhuangjiaban Sesame Oil Chicken (Jing'an Branch)
📍 201 Jing'an Road, Zhonghe District, New Taipei City
🕚 11:00 AM – 1:00 AM
🔥 Sesame Oil Mixed (NT$220) comes with six types of meat: kidney, loin, pork liver, pork heart, chicken liver, and chicken gizzards, all piled high enough that you can't see the broth. The kidneys have no gamey taste and are crisp and tender; the other parts are also perfectly stewed, showing care in preparation. It's nourishing but not greasy when you drink it.
🍗 Chicken Leg (NT$200) served whole in a bowl, the meat is soft and tender, with a strong sesame oil aroma in the broth. There’s a certain thickness to it, so be careful of the heat as that layer of oil can be deceptive.
🥬 Blanched Vegetables (NT$50) is a whole cabbage, blanched and topped with broth, flavorful but not overly salty.
🍜 Sesame Oil Noodle Soup (NT$50) has noodles that are not mushy, with a rich sesame oil flavor in the broth that isn’t overwhelming; it’s an essential part of the meal combo.
🌬️ The air conditioning in the store is strong enough that you won’t be sweating while enjoying sesame oil dishes. The dining area is clean and bright, with vibrant colored tables and chairs, making for a comfortable overall dining environment.
💬 Although the prices are a bit high, the quality and portions are satisfying. The broth is rich, and the ingredients are substantial, making it a place you’ll want to revisit.
