This fast food joint is a long-standing establishment in Taitung City, selling snacks that look like common roadside noodle stand offerings, but in reality, they serve entirely vegetarian dishes. Although it's vegetarian, it doesn't have the typical soy product flavors often found in many vegetarian restaurants (especially those with a strong religious nature), which also attracts a lot of local visitors wanting to try it out.
The menu at Su Tian Zhu is very simple, offering rice cakes, dry noodles, soup noodles, bamboo shoot soup, and blanched greens (which is more expensive). Due to the limited options, the service speed is fast, and the ingredients are quite fresh; the rice cakes don't lose their aroma just because there's no braised meat, and the bamboo shoots are very flavorful. Overall, even friends who enjoy meat would find the taste quite acceptable.
If you come to eat on a Sunday, there's also the Siwei Road Night Market nearby to explore, so friends who can't live without meat need not worry! 😂
