I initially wanted to eat braised pork rice at a nearby place, but there were too many people, so I decided to explore a new restaurant. It turned out that the restaurant with fewer people might not suit my taste, yet I still insisted on trying it. 😂
Since their specialty is curry, most of the locals ordered curry, but I wasn't really in the mood for curry today, so I ordered a parent-child don (oyakodon) instead. To my surprise, the oyakodon was quite different from what I remembered; it wasn't saucy at all. Instead, the sauce was minimal, which made it feel more like dry rice. The egg and chicken didn't blend together well either, which was quite disappointing. Overall, I only thought the yuzu-pickled radish was the best part of the meal. I was quite sad about it.
Perhaps friends who enjoy curry could give this place a chance. I just didn't get to try their signature dish, which is why I was disappointed. 😂
