Review by a user: There are many wash basins in the service area, which is very convenient.
I hope the mung bean soup branch will be located at the Qing Shui service area. It turns out to be a branch of a well-known Taichung store, and their products can also be purchased at 7-11! They focus on desserts made with mung beans, red beans, and grass jelly, along with ice cream, offering both single items and set choices. Right now, there’s a promotion where you can vote online to receive a cup of mung bean soup.
This time I tried two items:
Mung Bean Soup (60 NTD): The sweetness is just right, with plump and soft mung bean grains that have no shell texture. It’s rare to find mung bean soup where the beans are intact and not mushy; when I cook it at home, they usually break or overcook.
Mung Bean Ice Cream Cone (80 NTD): The creamy ice cream has a natural mung bean flavor that isn’t too sweet, and it pairs perfectly with the crispy cone.
Overall, both items are worth trying, especially for those who enjoy refreshing desserts.
