The Tokyo banana ice cream offered by the restaurant has a delicate texture, with a naturally mild flavor that is not overly sweet. The creaminess of the milk and the taste of the banana blend perfectly, and the portion is generous.
The restaurant located on the third floor of the Qing Shui rest stop has a relaxed atmosphere, attracting many customers to line up and taste unique Japanese cuisine.
The service staff operates alone, taking orders, collecting money, and making ice cream. Although there may be a slight wait, the hygiene and disinfection measures are in place, which is reassuring.

Located on the third floor of the Qing Shui Rest Area, it seems to be a recently opened area, and I'm not quite sure what this place is called, but there are lots of Japanese food vendors next to it.
On that day, even before the ordering time at 10 AM, there were about 7 or 8 groups of customers in line. Currently, this is the only place in Taiwan where you can get Tokyo Banana ice cream. It's a one-person operation where they take your order, collect payment, and make the ice cream, but everything is sanitized, so there's not much to worry about; you just need to wait a little.
The portion given is quite generous, with a nice round shape. The texture is very delicate, and the flavor is not overly sweet; in addition to the banana taste, there is a hint of creaminess. I think it's pretty tasty overall! At $140, it's an acceptable price; after enjoying a round of gas station snacks, buying a serving for two people as a snack is just right.
User Review: The restroom is located outdoors on the first floor, with quite a few sinks available, and there’s even warm water in the winter!
On the third floor of the Chingshui Service Area, there’s a restaurant called "Japanese Gourmet Paradise," specializing in various Japanese delicacies. In addition to ice cream, they offer dishes like Yaba Miso Pork Cutlet, Hiroshima Michelin-rated Chinese Ramen from 2018, and Ehime Sea Bream Rice, gathering a diverse selection of Japanese cuisine in a single place.
What caught my attention this time was the Tokyo Banana Ice Cream, which is said to be available only here in Taiwan. Originally, this ice cream was only sold at the EXPASA Ebina Highway Rest Area in Japan, so finding it in Taiwan was quite appealing.
Since I found it, I definitely couldn't miss out! I bought a cup to try. It cost 140 TWD and is somewhat similar in shape to FamilyMart's ice cream, round and cute, with a label indicating 254 calories. The texture of the ice cream is very creamy, and the banana flavor isn’t too overpowering, giving it a very natural and refreshing feel, which I personally enjoy. For those wanting to give it a try, this seems like a great choice.
