This time, I visited 'Shiawase Shinjuku Sakana Umai', located just a 3-minute walk from Shinjuku Station! An Instagram-worthy spot with impactful seafood dishes and drinks!
'Sahiawase Shinjuku Sakana Umai' is a trendy sushi izakaya with the concept of "creating a new sushi culture" and "sushi drinking bar." They offer innovative menus that are sure to be popular among the youth! The visually appealing dishes made with fresh seafood and the dramatic presentations, such as staff grilling fish right in front of you and seafood dishes piled high with roe, made it a feast for the eyes! It was delightful to enjoy with all five senses!
They also have a drink menu, allowing us to enjoy the best time with delicious sushi and drinks!
Menu items we ordered:
【Shrimp and Crab Battle】
A dream collaboration of crab, shrimp, and roe ♡
There was a tekka maki (raw tuna roll) underneath, and eating them together was extremely delicious!
【Salmon Cream Cheese Roll】
Salmon and cream cheese are an excellent match! Wrapped in crispy fried nori, it had a delightful crunchy texture.
【Immoral Negitoro Grilled Sushi】
Negitoro with butter?! An unusual yet fun combination! The saltiness of the butter pairs well with the salmon.
【Squid Somen with Karasumi】
Tender squid somen♪ The accent of karasumi (dried mullet roe) was lovely.
【Melting Eel with Butter】
They shave butter right in front of you to top it! Watching the butter melt over the warm eel was bliss. The salty butter pairs perfectly with the fragrant eel!
【Addictive Steamed Cabbage with Salted Cod Roe Butter】
I was impressed by the idea of eating steamed cabbage with salted cod roe. The saltiness of the roe draws out the sweetness of the cabbage even more. It pairs really well with drinks.
【Negitoro Bakudan】
A style where you mix negi (green onion), toro (fatty tuna), takuan (pickled radish), natto (fermented soybeans), and okra into a sticky combination and wrap it in nori!
The individual flavors and textures really stood out, making it a taste that you can’t get enough of.
【Shijimi Ramen for Tomorrow】
A perfect ending! The packaging was as appealing as Donbury's. Despite being full from the warm shijimi ramen, I couldn't help but keep reaching for my chopsticks.
Once again, Harapeko-chan is completely satisfied!
Thank you for the meal.
