Dining date: 2024/11/3
Today I came to Chiayi East Market for breakfast!
I’ve known about this beef offal soup for quite some time, and today I finally have a chance to try it.
I arrived at the market around 6:40 AM, and there was already a long line.
Here, the ordering process is the same for both dine-in and takeout; you line up in the same queue.
The staff will assist with ordering and payment while asking whether you want to dine in or take out.
Once a table is available, you can sit at the position the staff assigns and wait for your meal to be served.
This time I ordered beef tendon and meat soup (200 TWD) and beef offal soup (150 TWD), along with a bowl of white rice (10 TWD) each.
If you like beef tendon, I highly recommend the beef tendon and meat soup, but be careful not to eat too much, as it can be overwhelming (laughs).
If you're looking to experience a variety of textures, then you should try the beef offal soup! It has various textures but is not overcooked.
Additionally, the soup base is very fresh and sweet, and you can refill the soup for free after finishing.
There’s also some “white vinegar” on the table that you can add.
If you’re not afraid of sour flavors, you might want to taste the original soup first and then add a little bit of vinegar to try—it will elevate the soup to a different flavor.
In summary, come and give it a try!
