Although roasted corn is quite expensive, I always crave having a piece whenever I go out. This particular place, Stone Fragrance, has been operating at the intersection of Bao'an Road and Hai'an Road for a long time. Because there is often a long wait, I rarely eat here since I don't like waiting. But this time, passing by, I really thought it smelled too good, so I decided to check it out.
I ordered the signature satay corn flavor. They use sticky rice corn, and the roasting style tends to retain moisture rather than getting a bit crispy and dry. I was initially worried that the flavor might be too strong or too salty, but later I realized I was completely wrong. The corn is topped with peanut powder, giving it a sweet and salty taste, truly worthy of being called "sugar in Tainan" 🤣🤣🤣.
The price of the corn mainly depends on its weight, so you can ask for the smallest piece if you’d like, and the shop will help you select it. Otherwise, they will give you a random piece. You can also request a vegetarian option.
Next to the stall, there is an area where you can wait for your number to be called, with chairs and fans. So as soon as I got my corn, I immediately finished it, haha!
