This Korean restaurant near Yulon City in Xindian has been in operation for ten years and just relocated to the Xindian area this year. Upon entering, you can feel the staff's energy; they are polite and lively. Although there are mostly companies nearby, many regular customers still come in during the week at night.
The entrance boasts that they have the strongest seafood pancakes in Taiwan. I’m not a big fan of pancakes because I find them oily and greasy; however, these pancakes have a nice thickness, with a crispy surface that isn't too oily.
I recommend the couple's set, which satisfies your cravings for the most classic dishes all at once. There’s enough food that even three people can enjoy it! The side dish platter has six varieties and also includes a little snack: sweet potato balls.
Interestingly, they actually serve coffee ☕️! The owner mentioned that Koreans often pair their meals with coffee, similar to how Taiwanese might want to have black tea or winter melon tea with theirs. A scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert makes for a wonderful ending.
✨ Personal recommendations (with dish features)
“Seafood Pancake 👍✨”
A popular dish that's almost on every table. It’s golden and crispy on the outside, thick filling, and not greasy.
“Korean Fried Chicken 👍✨” (four flavors to choose from)
Made with fresh chicken thigh meat; the skin is crunchy, and the meat is tender without being dry. I love the yogurt sauce flavor 💛, which has a sweet yet mildly sour aroma. It’s said that the base uses Greek Gods honey Greek yogurt. There are also options for spicy pepper sauce and sweet and sour sauce, with the sweet and sour being sweeter while the pepper sauce is saltier (not the traditional numbing pepper flavor).
“Spicy Rice Cakes ✨”
The rice cakes have a more delicate texture compared to traditional Korean rice cakes. Tested - even when cooled, they remain soft, sticky, and fragrant! They are accompanied by cabbage and my beloved Korean fish cake, with ample sauce - it’s not dry.
“Seafood Army Stew ✨”
Featuring 12 kinds of rich ingredients, the soup is perfectly spicy. The store even proactively offers small bowls for easy sharing.
“Golden Buckwheat Tea ✨”
Canned buckwheat tea! You can take any leftovers home.
