Family dinner to celebrate birthdays of elders
It’s hard to find a parking space nearby. There is parking service for 150 yuan.
The interior is quite new, with two floors and private room space.
The five of us were dining. We ordered a casserole chicken soup for 1,680 yuan. It was a huge pot of a whole cinnamon chicken. The ingredients included crispy bamboo shoots and ham. The bamboo shoots were very rich in flavor, but it was not the kind of chicken soup that has a gelatinous consistency (not Chicken nest/Jiyuan kind), it’s pretty good but I like it thicker 😆 Five people will definitely not be able to finish it, so they have to pack it away in the end. It feels like the store deliberately didn’t serve food that early and asked us to order more dishes in front of us 😂
The quality and location of the drunken chicken are not recommended.
The country side roast is very good. It has a sweet taste and is served with shredded scallions in the baguette sauce. The texture is very smooth~
The stinky tofu is also highly recommended, with three large pieces soaking up the soup, with dried shrimps, meat, and chili peppers to enhance the flavor, and duck blood as a supporting role.
Yellow croaker tofu is also a signature dish. What I love most is that it contains whole garlic that is stewed very softly. I really like eating garlic in this form~
The Shanghai vegetable rice is a classic must-try, it consists of Qingjiang vegetable stems + salted fish + oily aroma + pot gas. The texture is a bit like hard and crunchy rice crackers. I don’t know what it is, but it’s very fragrant and delicious!
Dry shredded beef is added. There is not much meat but the smell of the pot is very fragrant. You can also order it~
For dessert, I chose the sweet-scented osmanthus sugared lotus root between the bean paste pot cake and the sweet-scented osmanthus sugared lotus root. I thought it was ice but turned out to be hot. I unexpectedly liked the feeling of a warm dessert. It tasted good but I thought it would be better if it was softer and glutinous! It’s also one of the Shanghai Kung Fu dishes that you rarely have the chance to eat~
Overall, it's not a bad dining option. The price per person is about 1,000, which is very filling. The environment and food are in line with expectations.
