Review from a brace-wearer: The water pressure of the sink is a bit weak.
This is my first time dining here. My friend and I ordered the classic set menu for $698 + 10%, which includes a total of 59 dishes.
For the hot pot base, we chose spicy hot pot and black garlic soup. The spiciness of the hot pot is moderate, but it gets saltier the more you cook; the black garlic soup is on the lighter side and not particularly impressive.
As for the vegetables, they were average. There were some I liked, such as beef tomatoes and wet tofu skin. The beef tendon in the braised trio was tender and flavorful, which went well with the spicy hot pot.
Regarding seafood, the scallops and shrimp were acceptable, but the rest were unremarkable.
For the meat, I had checked Google reviews beforehand, and indeed the meat slices were cut very thin, almost like transparent paper. However, the quality was okay and they didn't turn out too tough when cooked.
The shrimp paste contained solid shrimp, you could really taste the quality. The Spanish mackerel was also decent, while the spare ribs, Chinese crullers, and egg dumplings were quite standard with no standout features.
The dessert section was extremely disappointing; almost everything was not tasty, with the only highlight being that there were a decent variety of ice cream options.
Overall evaluation: There are better choices for this price.
I won't be coming back; the only thing worth one star is the ice cream.
