This time, I joined in on their hot pot essay contest to give it a try. I ordered the basic stinky hot pot, which had a generous portion and plenty of ingredients, including tofu, vegetables, frozen tofu, and more. The beef is advertised as freshly sliced, but when it was served, there were still some ice shards on the surface, making it hard to tell if it was really freshly sliced 😆.

In terms of flavor, the combination of the broth and hot pot ingredients generally posed no significant issues. For a budget hot pot, this standard is acceptable. If you're a student, you can enjoy double the amount of meat with your student ID, which is quite economical for young people. The ice cream here is from the Du Laoye brand, which uses better ingredients compared to some lesser-known or cheaper brands.

One important point is that when I went to get chopsticks, I noticed the inside wasn't very clean, and there was some dirt, which was not pleasant visually.

The prices are not considered high, and taking portion size and taste into account, the overall value for money is decent. Compared to other similar hot pot restaurants nearby, "Shangheyuan Hot Pot" performs reasonably well, making it suitable for simple gatherings or budget-friendly tasting experiences.
