Zitian Vegetable House is located on World Street and is a small shop with a strong Japanese home-cooked meal atmosphere. The interior space is not very large, but the ambiance is warm and relaxing, giving off a feel like discovering a small eatery hidden in an alley. The most eye-catching feature is not the decor, but rather the shop's incredibly present "shop cat"—a round, giant cat that is quite impressive in size yet very cute, and just seeing it lifts your spirits.
In terms of the dishes, the curry omelet rice was the most impressive. The curry adopts a black curry style, with a rich flavor that isn’t overly heavy, and the spices have distinct layers. The omelet is smooth and has a very soft texture when mixed with the curry. The radish in the ingredients is stewed to perfection, almost melting in your mouth; after soaking up the curry and broth, it releases both sweetness and aroma, becoming a small highlight of the dish.
Another dish, the Hell Ramen, also performed well. The broth is rich, with a noticeable kick of spiciness, but it's not just simply spicy; it has depth and layers from the broth itself. The control of saltiness is commendable; even though the broth is thick, it doesn’t feel burdensome, making it the kind of soup you can enjoy slowly. The pairing of the noodles with the broth is also harmonious, resulting in a good overall execution.
Overall, Zitian Vegetable House is a small shop with a friendly atmosphere and appealing dishes. The meals aren't overly elaborate in presentation, but the flavors are solid and enjoyable to eat. Coupled with the incredibly cute shop cat, the entire dining experience becomes particularly memorable. If you're looking for a relaxed place to eat near World Street, this would be a delightful choice.
