🐎 Tajimaya Shabu Shabu 🐎
A Michelin Plate recommended high-end hot pot in Taipei✨
The overall dining environment feels super spacious❗️
Highly recommended for both dates and birthday celebrations🙈
Tajimaya Shabu Shabu is located inside the Mandarin Oriental Hotel
with semi-private booths and private rooms.
Even if you’re not in a private room,
the distance between tables is spacious and offers good privacy😌
It’s less awkward for taking photos if you’re celebrating a birthday.
The restaurant offers seafood, various meats, and Wagyu beef.
There are vegetarian sets, individual sets, couple sets, and à la carte items.
This time we came for the seafood🦀🦞
because I absolutely love eating crabs and lobsters😋😋
The staff will help process the lobster,
but you still have to handle the crabs yourself.
However, we were feeling a bit lazy, so it was too tiring to eat crabs by ourselves.
In the end, we chose lobster🤩🤩
"Mountain and Sea Couple's Surf and Turf Set - Flower Lobster $5880"
The Mountain and Sea set includes:
appetizer, small bowl, two types of meat, seafood,
rice dishes, clay pot rice, dessert, and fruit.
It's recommended to eat the Kobe Wagyu sushi while it’s hot,
otherwise, the texture isn’t as good when it cools down😂
The meat option "Iberico Pork Loin" is fixed🐷
For beef, you can choose "US Prime Beef Short Ribs,"
or upgrade to "Japanese A5 Wagyu" for an additional $800.
The seafood includes clams, squid, abalone, and flower lobster.
If you're cooking seafood, there is table service to free up your hands,
so you just have to focus on eating!
The lobster's texture is extremely firm and bouncy.
After finishing the lobster meat,
the whole lobster will be used to make a clay pot rice stew🫕
The staff will add a cup of ice water during the cooking process,
which supposedly disrupts the structure of the rice grains,
allowing the rice to absorb more water and become more plump.
It’s incredibly delicious!
