Louis' Hand Grab Seafood is located along Taiwan's Highway 2, just a short walk to the left after leaving Gongliao Train Station. Right across the street is the famous Fullon Hotel.

I was quite troubled by how to categorize the restaurant, and after much thought, I decided to use the English term "Bistro" and classify it as a gastropub.

Today, we enjoyed a seafood platter for two, accompanied by mulberry iced jelly and peach sparkling drink, totaling about 1200 TWD.

Seafood platter for two:
First, you choose the sauce, then the quantity, and then wait for it to be served. We opted for the classic Louisiana flavor for the sauce. Although it was meant for two, the portion served was indeed quite generous. It was steaming hot, so even with gloves on, one had to be careful not to get burned. The platter included shrimp, mussels, clams, squid, potatoes, baby corn, onions, green peppers, cauliflower, and pasta at the bottom, making for a very filling meal. The seasoning was a little spicy, in an American style, and the restaurant also offers a variety of sauces and seasonings for customization. Fresh and delicious, it's definitely worth trying.

While I really wanted to try a luxury meal, that's definitely not something two people could finish; perhaps I'll leave it for another time.

Mulberry iced jelly:
The mulberry sauce tends to settle at the bottom, so you need to stir it a bit with a straw. The iced jelly is quite versatile, refreshing with a nice tang.

Peach sparkling drink:
A straightforward and tasty peach sparkling drink, but it doesn’t stand out as much when compared to the luxurious seafood.

Overall, I would definitely come back. Not only was it delicious and filling, but it was also a visual delight, and the price wasn't too high. The price for hand grab seafood in Taipei can be quite steep.

I strongly recommend it to everyone!
