Asi Mama's Shihua Jelly is located on the left side as you step out of Gongliao Fulong Station, and it's right next to the station; only two Fulong bento places are closer than this one. This seems to be the oldest Shihua Jelly shop in the area.
Today, I enjoyed lemon Shihua Jelly and brown sugar Shihua Jelly, totaling 80 NT dollars.
Lemon Shihua Jelly:
You can see from the photo that a large amount of Shihua Jelly floats on top of the drink; the freshly squeezed lemon juice makes the whole cup very refreshing and delicious.
Brown Sugar Shihua Jelly:
This one is a bit sweeter, but there is still plenty of Shihua Jelly. The pure sweetness of the brown sugar is a bit sweet, but this is just due to personal taste; the flavor is still quite good.
Overall, it's a specialty beverage shop in a tourist area that has an area for sitting inside. I was surprised to see that this Shihua Jelly shop had a few small tables behind the stall for customers to rest. The seating area is definitely worth at least half a point.
Shihua Jelly is best enjoyed cold and fresh, because once it melts, it can have a hint of a seafood taste that not everyone may be used to.
I recommend it to everyone.
