Although "Yongda Mongolian Barbecue" in Yongda Night Market specializes in Mongolian barbecue, to be honest, I've always found the practice of stir-frying a bunch of vegetables and meat mixed together a bit puzzling. The presentation isn't very appealing... It’s called Mongolian barbecue, but it doesn’t actually feature grilled meat; it feels like a stir-fried mixed vegetable concept. So in the end, I skipped their signature dish and ordered something else to try.

The fried rice was okay, with distinct grains and decent seasoning. It wasn't too salty or oily, and you could add an egg wrap to make it egg fried rice. Although the egg wrap was a bit thick, it had a nice aroma and was quite palatable. However, they added mixed vegetables to the fried rice, which I deduct points for; although the proportion wasn't high, the presence of those vegetables felt unnecessary to me.

Their corn chowder was a bit too thickened, tasting somewhat like a semi-solid version, but the flavor was acceptable—sweet and salty, at least it didn’t have any weird taste. I was quite surprised by the black tea; it's unsweetened and has that old-fashioned flavor with a hint of bitterness from the tea leaves. Compared to the overly sweet drinks commonly found in Tainan night markets, this option was quite unique, but it may not be everyone's favorite.

Overall, the restaurant's flavors are acceptable, and it's a choice for filling up your stomach. However, after finishing, I felt a bit bloated, perhaps due to a bit too much oil. Next time I visit the night market, I probably won’t choose this place specifically.
