Taipei Neihu late-night food, a fusion of a restaurant and an izakaya, responds to Fooday’s Olympic event restaurant activities, and I especially went to my favorite restaurant tonight. I've been here before and knew that they have a big screen that shows sports events, so I called first to confirm if the Olympics will be broadcast tonight haha!
🥳 First of all, congratulations to the badminton men's doubles "Lin Yangpei" for defeating the Danish team 2-1 in the Paris Olympics semi-finals and successfully advancing to the gold medal match!
At the beginning of the game, we lost to the Danish team in the first game and almost couldn't eat the food. Fortunately, we turned around smoothly in the end! So cool!
The best thing about this restaurant is that before the meal is served, they will serve a plate of side dishes, usually asparagus with sesame sauce. After all, it takes a long time to wait for the meal, so you can eat something to satisfy your stomach!
Here is my meal today:
📍Mentaiko cheese white sauce bacon udon NT$250
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌖
I highly recommend this dish. The mentaiko and cheese white sauce are very rich, dry and perfectly attached to the chewy udon noodles. It has a smoky aroma of bacon and is so delicious that you want to lick the sauce clean!
📍Clam soup NT$100
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕
This dish is also very real. The clams are very big and fresh. The soup is made with shredded ginger, chopped green onion, and a little loofah, which is very sweet! I order this every time I come!
📍Salted Grilled King Oyster Mushroom NT$100
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗
The king oyster mushrooms are grilled just right and taste fresh and sweet, not too mushroomy, and very fresh. The seasoning powder sprinkled on it goes well with it, and there is barbecue sauce on the plate for dipping!
📍Salt roasted Matsusaka pork NT$250
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌘
This dish is a bit expensive, but the quality of the Matsusaka pork meat is very good, and the grilled skin is crispy and fragrant, but not too dry. Sprinkle crispy garlic and chopped green onion on top, and add lemon to enhance the taste!
📍Crab paste chicken skewers 2 skewers NT$130
🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑
The main character is no longer chicken, the crab paste sauce is a bit sweeter and takes away the flavor, plus the crab meat sticks on top make it look a bit low-key XD, I think this one is pretty good!
▶️ Environment
🔹A large sofa for seating (4~6 people), 4 tables for four, 1 table for two, and 1 small round table for two (no TV visible in the corner)
🔹The atmosphere is relatively dark and it will be noisy when the TV is playing
🔹No drinking water provided
🔹There is a small toilet
▶️ Thoughtful reminder
🔹 It is recommended to call to reserve a table on Friday night, it is usually full
🔹 There is no drinking water provided. If you don’t want to drink, you can bring your own water.
🔹 Only accept cash, or add LINE transfer
🔹 It is recommended to wear long pants. There were mosquitoes in the restaurant today. I was bitten by several packs of QQ even though I was wearing shorts (the mosquitoes were also full)
▶️ Overall evaluation
🔹 The food is delicious, but a few random dishes can add up to a hefty price tag haha! If you want to feel full, we recommend staple dishes such as salmon roe fried rice and udon noodles. The environment is relatively dark, which is perfect for chatting, eating and drinking with friends late at night! Since there are only 2 people preparing meals in the kitchen, you will have to wait for a long time for your meals. It is recommended that you order some cold food or drinks first so that they can be served faster!
