Since it's called the King of Cold Noodles, I definitely have to pay a visit. Located in Gushan, there's a ferry terminal and MRT nearby, making transportation very convenient. There are many tourists, and you might have to wait for a table during peak dining hours. The variety of dishes is rich, including BBQ, pancakes, appetizers, rice and noodle dishes, and the prices are moderate.
✐ Hand-made Sweet and Sour Cold Noodles $230
· Cold noodles that vegetarians can also enjoy, perfect for summer! The broth is sweet and sour but not overpowering, and the restaurant provides sauces. For a more authentic taste, you can add vinegar and yellow mustard, which enhances the flavor significantly.
✐ Kimchi Pancakes $280
· They look soft, but the edges are actually quite crispy, with a nice texture. There's a good amount of kimchi, perfect for sharing between two to three people.
✐ Chilled Shredded Potato $70
· The flavor is less intense than I expected; overall, it’s quite mild. It’s okay for satisfying a craving, but I probably won’t order it again next time.
✐ Peach Juice $50
· Very different from what I imagined; I'm not sure if it’s just this can or if it always tastes this way. There’s a strong artificial flavor with a hint of plastic (?)
