Overall Review: 🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑
Dickson's Fooday Review #233
This time I want to introduce a relatively famous affordable Italian pasta restaurant.
It is located between Xingtiangong Station and Zhongshan Junior High School Station in the Zhongshan District.
The choices for pasta on the menu are extensive,
and not only pasta but also other Italian dishes like risotto are available.
However, the most famous items here are the pasta.
It's important to note that this place does not accept reservations,
and because it's quite popular, it attracts a lot of customers.
If you want to enjoy your meal here, remember to come queue up early before opening hours.
Arriving about 15 minutes before opening can help you secure a spot!
Otherwise, during meal times, you may have to wait for a bit.
I find that the food here is generally above average.
The pasta I had on that day was quite delicious!
Additionally, the free refills on the creamy soup add extra points!

⭐️ Food
👉 Garlic White Wine Clams $220
👉 Spicy Garlic Shrimp $240
Both pasta dishes I ordered that day had a nice overall taste.
The texture of the noodles was neither too soft nor too hard.
As for the flavors, both were quite basic.
Both had a decent garlic flavor,
but the spiciness was rather mild.
Regarding the seafood, the white wine clams and shrimp were fresh and generous.
The portions were quite decent!
Since there are many other pasta options on the menu,
I still want to come back to try some more unique options like baby squid next time!
In terms of pasta, I think this place is a good choice,
so I highly recommend it to friends who love Italian food!
Moreover, they also provide unlimited refills on the creamy soup,
which is actually quite rich and tasty.
It doesn’t taste like the watered-down corn soups found in some other places.
⭐️ Atmosphere
The interior of the restaurant isn’t very large,
but they have quite a number of seats.
However, because of that, the tables are relatively close together.
Overall, I think the dining atmosphere is still acceptable,
like a more affordable dining space.
⭐️ Service
As I recall, there wasn’t anything particularly special about the service here,
just the basic order taking and food serving.
One thing to be cautious of is
that this restaurant doesn’t take reservations,
so you have to queue on-site.
Given that weekends can be busier,
I still suggest arriving about 15 minutes before opening.
That way, you should be able to be among the first guests!
⭐️ Price
From the menu, you can see
that the pasta here is quite affordable,
and the flavors and textures are pretty good.
Additionally, the soup is available for unlimited refills,
so I think the value for money is quite high.
That might be why there are usually more customers!
⭐️ Location
Now the location of the restaurant is a bit tricky,
because if you’re using public transport,
it’s located precisely between two MRT stations.
Walking from either side may take around 10 to 15 minutes.
Also, there aren’t many other decent places around,
so if you plan to eat here,
you’ll probably have to come specifically for it,
making it a bit hard to arrange other activities nearby!
⭐️ In summary
I feel that this pasta place is quite good.
Although it’s not extremely impressive,
it still exceeds many regular pasta restaurants in quality and flavor!
Moreover, since the prices are quite affordable,
if you're keen to try more places offering pasta,
it's worth queuing up here if you pass by!
There’s no comment yet.
