Taipei Neihu - Summer is for eating icy tofu pudding! This place "Soy Milk Tofu Pudding" is highly recommended for its rich flavors, and there are also shaved ice, grass jelly, and other options!
📍 Mixed Soy Milk Tofu Pudding (choose three toppings) Taro + NT$5 Total NT$75

The tofu pudding has a very smooth texture, and the soy milk is mildly sweet, blending well with the tofu pudding to create a rich bean aroma in the bowl!
For the toppings, I chose: Taro, Job's Tears, Mixed Balls (Taro balls, Sweet Potato balls)
🔹 Taro: Surprisingly has a reddish color XD? It must have been soaked in brown sugar syrup, quite sweet, with a slightly sandy texture when eaten~
🔹 Job's Tears: Cooked very soft, the texture is sticky together, seems to be soaked in syrup, tastes a bit sweet.
🔹 Mixed Balls: Bouncy texture, just the common type of taro and sweet potato balls. Unfortunately, neither had much taste of taro or sweet potato.
📍 Mixed Handmade Tofu Pudding (choose three toppings) Taro + NT$5 Total NT$70

The base is brown sugar syrup, overall sweeter. You can choose whether to add shaved ice, but I didn't. I chose red beans, green beans, and taro for the toppings. The red and green beans are also quite soft, just typical toppings without much special feature.
▶️ Environment
🔹 There are 5 four-person tables; the dining area is small.
🔹 The decor is simple and clean.
🔹 Utensils and tissues are self-service at the counter.
▶️ Friendly reminder
🔹 After being seated, go to the counter to get a form and crayon to fill out, and write your table number.
🔹 When ordering, pay first; they only accept cash and do not issue receipts.
▶️ Overall evaluation
🔹 The tofu pudding is delicious! Compared to the handmade tofu pudding with brown sugar syrup, I prefer "Soy Milk Tofu Pudding" for its full bean aroma. It’s a great source of protein! Additionally, I feel the toppings I chose were a bit too sweet for me; I personally don’t enjoy overly sweet things, so next time I come, I might just stick to the soy milk tofu pudding! Or I might choose less sweet toppings like grass jelly or white fungus.
