Recently, many chain affordable teppanyaki restaurants have opened, and I saw some online commenters expressing concerns about the hygiene of certain branches. However, after dining at the newly opened Dehui branch last year, I found the overall atmosphere to be quite pleasant. The environment and service exceeded my expectations, making it a pretty good experience for an affordable restaurant.
👉 Dining Environment
As it is a new establishment, the decor is quite fresh, and both the seating and table are very clean.
The tableware is kept in a UV sterilization cabinet, and the drink and condiment areas also appear very new and clean, avoiding the traditional greasy feel often associated with teppanyaki. Dining here is very comfortable.
👉 Food Review
Each main dish comes with two stir-fried sides. This teppanyaki place standardly serves bean sprouts and cabbage. I chose the individual surf and turf set for $399, with the main selections being Matsusaka pork and basa fish, plus a fried egg.
The overall taste is quite good, but I feel the meat is somewhat on the salty side. If possible, I would appreciate if the chef could reduce the amount of pepper and salt next time, otherwise, I'll need a lot of rice, haha.
In terms of portion, I think a guy might need to order the surf and turf to feel full, while for an average person, one portion of meat should be just about right.
⭐️ Bonus: The restaurant offers unlimited refills on their tofu and kelp miso soup, which is quite delicious and has plenty of ingredients. I had several bowls of just the soup, which is great. Rice is also available for unlimited refills, making it attractive for an affordable restaurant.
👉 Service Quality
The teppanyaki chefs do not seem intimidating, and the entire dining process is quite polite and relaxed, without any pressure. Overall, it’s quite nice.

For a new affordable teppanyaki restaurant, the atmosphere and service here are impressive, though I think reducing the saltiness of the food would improve it a bit.
Though it's positioned as affordable, the surf and turf set is still $390, which is not exactly cheap, so I just wanted to share this for reference.
