胖殿 Pang Dain Bakery & Coffee

The shop front is eye-catching in orange｜The bakery is filled with lots of bread🥖🥯🍞

I’ve passed by a few times and was attracted by the bright atmosphere. Plus, there's a big poster of the crispy croissant outside that really catches the eye🥐

The space inside the store is very spacious, and there's a distance between the bread counter and the entrance. Many passersby glance inside, curious about what kinds of bread are sold.

Upon entering the store, I found that the prices are quite high! Each bread starts from NT$70-80, with a lot of croissant options which seem to be the store's specialty.

👑 Crown Cheese Ball (NT$75):
There are several small boxes of samples in front of some breads for customers to try. You can take a toothpick and sample the bread, but I feel it’s a bit unfortunate that many of the sample items are quite small, making it hard to really appreciate the texture. Moreover, since they are displayed until the evening, the bread has become somewhat dry.

This type of bread has the texture I like from German alkaline bread, but it’s actually harder and denser than others I’ve tried (not a good texture 🥨). The cheese filling is a bit sparse, which is too bad.

Overall, the prices for the bread are too high, and I was quite disappointed with the texture.
