Pickled fish has been aggressively attacking the Taiwanese market in recent years. In addition to Diao Min, there are many pickled fish brands that have been popping up. This Sichuan fragrant pickled fish has a store in Taipei and Hsinchu. The one we ate today is near Zhongshan Station in Taipei. branch
The three of us came to dine at 4:30 pm. Since we were not very hungry, we decided to order a set meal for two people to share. The price is $1388 (need to add 10% service charge), including 1 portion of pickled fish/boiled beef + 1 1 special dish + 2 Kung Fu Sichuan dishes + 2 bowls of rice + 2 drinks + 2 fried screw rolls
Pickled Fish
The selection standard (slightly spicy) is quite spicy for me, a person who is not very good at eating spicy food. I shed tears while eating it, but my family seems to think it is not very spicy.
The contents include fish fillets, a lot of sauerkraut, and some broad winter noodles, enoki mushrooms, fungus, and pork belly slices
Personally, I think the taste is pretty good, and the acidity and spiciness can be adjusted at any time. However, the portion is average, so the price is a bit expensive (my sister said the same portion in Kaohsiung only costs $300-400).
Special cuisine-Sichuan fragrant tear-jerking eggs
It's not spicy at all. I actually don't know what makes it tear-inducing. It's more like a soy sauce egg with a burnt aroma. It goes great with rice. I like it very much.
Kung Fu Sichuan Cuisine-Sichuan Flavor Chicken
The clerk was a little dumbfounded when it was served because the portion was really small, only 6 small pieces of meat, and the original price was $288! We chose the standard dish (slightly spicy), but it’s not spicy at all. It’s delicious, but if I come back again because of the CP value, I won’t want to order this dish alone.
Kung Fu Sichuan Cuisine - Baby Cabbage in Soup
For example, the baby cabbage soup is garnished with some shredded chicken. The portion of baby cabbage is large and the broth tastes sweet and can be used directly as a soup. It is very suitable for eating with the heavy-flavored pickled fish and other Sichuan dishes.
Dessert - Crispy fried screw roll
Just fried steamed buns with condensed milk, delicious but nothing special
Beverages-Roselle tea, winter melon lemon
We chose to go without ice. Our experience is that we should choose ice cubes, which will make the drink more refreshing.
Overall, the food is pretty good, but the portions are on the small side, the price is slightly high, and the CP value is low. I would like to try other pickled fish brands next time
