This place only sells wontons. When my parents brought the whole family to Hualien for a visit in the past, we had to eat here. After many years, we returned and still had to wait in line. They only sell wontons, and a bowl costs $80. The business is still incredibly good.

If you want to dine in, you need to wait for a seat to be arranged. You place your order and pay at the counter by the entrance, and they will give you a number. When the food is served, they will call out the number; if it’s yours, just raise your hand. For takeout, you don’t have to line up like for dine-in; you can just tell the staff, and they will assist you with your order.

After eating at so many wonton places, I love the filling from this one the most. Even after so many years, the taste hasn’t changed and is still just as delicious 😋. The meat is very fresh, and the seasoning is not too salty, which is perfect for someone like me who prefers lighter flavors. I haven’t had a filling from any other place as tasty as this one. Unfortunately, they are currently short-staffed and only open for lunch; they don’t serve dinner, so if you want to eat here, remember to come early.

However, if you prefer stronger flavors, you might find it lacking; there are condiments on the table that you can use to adjust the taste.

The broth is quite good; after drinking it, you won’t be constantly thirsty, but it is a bit salty. The dining area has air conditioning, and after eating, you can return your utensils to the recycling area. You can also buy frozen ones to take home and cook yourself if you like.

A bowl has about 8 dumplings for $80.
