📍 Located at Yansan Night Market, the Dongshi Oyster Shop has a more thematic décor after renovation and is doing quite well in business.

🍽️ Environment
After the renovation last year, the dining environment is much cleaner and has a more consistent design aesthetic, which is very different from the original traditional Taiwanese snack style. The air conditioning in the shop is quite cool, and it can accommodate around 30-40 people in total. In addition to cash, it also accepts various mobile payment options, and the food is served fairly quickly.

🍚 Dishes
▪️ Abalone Seafood Porridge $100
I ordered the abalone seafood porridge this time; overall, there is a good amount of seafood, and it’s quite fresh. The abalone is of the pen shell variety, along with fresh oysters, shrimp, clams, and squid. The broth is mild without heavy seasoning, highlighting the natural sweetness of the seafood; you can add some white pepper for extra flavor.
It's important to note that the porridge resembles more of a rice soup rather than the traditional type of congee, but it’s still pretty delicious.

😀 In summary, it’s a place I would occasionally visit. The fried rice and oyster omelet are also quite good, but sometimes the seafood portions can vary a bit, likely due to market price fluctuations.
