🚩 Qingmei Green – the just right blend of sour and sweet, a perfect summer thirst quencher.
The weather in Taipei during summer is terrifying; it feels like walking inside a giant steamer when you go outside… Today at noon, my colleagues and I went out for lunch, and after eating, we all wanted to grab a hand-shaken drink. We went to this Mixue in the East District underground mall, which has a great location right at Exit 2 of Dunhua Station, so we didn’t have to go out into the sun 😆, and there were seats to sit next to it. The shop was very busy, with several customers waiting, and the staff were quite busy but had a good attitude.
As a poor person on a sugar-free journey, I probably shouldn't have ordered a drink, but to fit in and for the sake of posting(?) I still ordered a cup of fermented Qingmei Green without milk (60 NT$) (this place is considered a department store, so it’s 5 NT$ more expensive than regular outlets). Since it was my first time ordering, I was afraid it would be too sour, so I chose low sugar and low ice, and it tasted better than expected. The green tea was not bitter, and the plum added a perfect touch of sour and sweet (I feel like the sugar level could be lower or I could try no sugar). At this price, I thought they would include a plum in the drink, but sadly, there wasn’t one 😢.
