Ever since I got FOODAY, I've had some extra meal expenses every day 🙆🏻‍♀️

Today, I came with my family to Taobanyuan located in Xizhi Yuanchung. It has been two years since I last came to eat at Taobanyuan! This time, I noticed that the menu and decor have changed, and of course, the prices have also increased quite a bit 😅😅. Prices have gone up from over 500 to over 600 💸. But… to be honest, I think it used to be tastier. Perhaps some of my favorite items have changed 🥲, so I’m a bit disappointed. It feels like the food isn't as delicious as it used to be!

But coming to the FOODAY platform, I want to set aside my emotions and share my honest dining experience with everyone! So I’m still doing a detailed and genuine review of the dishes we ordered. Thank you for taking the time to read my food notes 🥹🥹🥹

👀 Salad 🥰 On that day, we chose the "Seasonal Fruit Salad" and the "Baked Beef and Fresh Vegetable Salad." Both salads were quite good, but since the hot pot restaurant did not provide fruit, friends who enjoy eating fruit will really find the fruit salad suitable 👍 Personally, I prefer baked dishes, so I ordered the baked beef and fresh vegetable salad. The aroma of the baked dish wafted over as soon as it was served, and I quickly devoured it, kicking off the first appetizer 🤣
👀Appetizers🥰 For appetizers, you can choose between "Braised King Oyster Mushrooms" and "Scallop Seafood Chawanmushi." The texture of the king oyster mushrooms is quite good, not overly salty🥹. The chawanmushi has a smooth texture, filled with seafood, and it feels completely satisfying to eat🫶.
👀 Soup 🥰 For the soup, we chose "Chicken Chowder." The rich creaminess paired with tender chicken makes it irresistible to take sip after sip. Honestly, after finishing it, I still felt like wanting more! 🤣🤣🤣
👀 Main Course - Garlic Slate Steak🥩 The Garlic Slate Steak from Tao Ban Wu can definitely be considered a signature dish 🤤 Every time the menu changes, this dish remains unchanged, probably because it's also a popular choice among customers 👍 The steak is tender, and it's recommended to order it medium-rare for the best texture, which avoids it being too tough ✌️✌️
👀 Main Course - Crispy Roasted Golden Duck Breast 🥰 It's my first time having duck breast as the main course at the Tao Ban House! Before, I usually had the combo series, but this time I found out they've changed the menu. After looking through everything, the duck breast still caught my heart, and unexpectedly, it was so delicious! 🤤🤤🤤
👀Japanese Cuisine - Grilled Salmon Rice Ball🥰 The outer layer of the grilled rice ball is crispy and has a solid texture. However, due to the rich and plentiful filling, it can become a bit overwhelming after a few bites. Unfortunately, it was served after the main course, so after finishing the main dish, I found it hard to eat any more Japanese food. 😅
👀 Japanese Cuisine - Tomato Beef Udon Noodles 🥰 It's really a bit of a shame to have this dish after the main course!! I seriously think that the restaurant should change the order of the courses 🤣🤣🤣 The udon noodles are chewy and have a nice bounce, making them feel refreshing and not heavy at all~ It's just a pity that after finishing the main course, I had no energy left to enjoy it fully 🥹
👀 Dessert - Shizuoka Hojicha Pudding 🥰 Even though I’m really full, there’s always room for dessert 🤤 This hojicha pudding 🍮 captivated me just by its appearance😍 The plating has such a Japanese vibe that I couldn’t help but grab my camera and take tons of pictures 🤣 It’s delicious and photogenic, so I recommend everyone to try this dessert! This dish is great for those who don’t really like sweet things👍
👀 Drinks 🥰 There are cold and hot drink options to choose from! We chose the iced "Seasonal Fruit Tea." At Tofu House, the sweetness of the drinks cannot be adjusted, so if you're someone who prefers no sugar, it’s best not to adjust the ice amount! 🥹
🎂 Birthday cake gifted by this month's birthday celebrants 🥰 Wang Pin Group is really thoughtful! 😍 Their main focus is to make birthday celebrants feel right at home.
