The Daihe Ranch Nankang Global Store is located in the food area of the underground shopping street at Nankang Station.
It is quite convenient in terms of transportation, whether you are taking a bus, transferring, or simply looking for a comfortable place to have a meal; this is a decent choice.
Today, I enjoyed a pork cutlet rice bowl set meal and a salt and onion hamburger steak set meal, totaling 777 NTD including service charge.
Pork Cutlet Rice Bowl Set:
The pork cutlet is thick, with a crispy outer layer that is not greasy. It makes a satisfying crunch when bitten into, while the meat retains its moisture, not dry or tough.
The sauce that comes with the rice bowl has a balanced sweet and salty flavor, mixing well with the rice.
The accompanying shredded cabbage, miso soup, and three small side dishes are all standard.
Salt and Onion Hamburger Steak Set:
The hamburger steak is nicely browned on the outside and juicy on the inside. It has a solid texture with a bit of bounce. Topped generously with salt, onions, and scallions, the overall flavor is refreshing and layered, quite different from the heavy-flavored Japanese hamburger steaks you might imagine.
The vegetable accompaniments include broccoli, king oyster mushrooms, and little carrot balls; they not only add color but also taste quite good.
The most special part is the small "heating stone" next to the iron plate.
When hot, anything you throw on it can be seared, providing a spectacular sensory experience on-site, which is quite interesting.
Overall, it’s a Japanese set meal restaurant that can lift your spirits.
The white rice and miso soup can be refilled; you can also place your orders and refills through a QR code.
The dining environment is clean and the seating is spacious, leaning towards a style that is more refined than family restaurants, though the prices are slightly higher.
The restaurant's décor has a warm style, with wooden flooring and natural wood-colored tables and chairs creating a bit of a "urban ranch" ambiance.
The staff on the day seemed to be newcomers; their service was polite but a bit clumsy, yet it didn’t detract from the enjoyment of the meal.
At 777 NTD for this meal, indulging occasionally doesn’t hurt too much, after all, it's filling and good, and even the price feels lucky.
The overall experience was delightful.
I recommend it to everyone!
