"Handmade Meat Soup Traditional Flavor" is located near Dihua Street and Dadaocheng. Today, I ended up eating here somewhat unintentionally (because I needed to find a restroom, and they just happened to have one, so I decided to eat here XD). We arrived for dinner around 5:30 on a Saturday night, and they close at 6:30. There were about 2-3 groups of customers in the meantime, which is not too many.
The dining environment in the restaurant is average and looks rather old, but it's not dirty enough that the floor is covered in trash. It’s fine for a simple meal, although the restroom, while clean, had a bit of a strong odor.
Dry Noodles $40
It's just a bowl of simple noodles topped with minced meat. The saltiness is just right, and I liked the flavor, but the noodles were cooked a bit too soft, which is a small pity.
Mixed Meat Soup $65
The soup has a herbal medicine taste. It’s not bad, but personally, I prefer the sweeter style of soup from the south. The mixed soup includes crispy fish bits and meat chunks, and I preferred the fish bits, which were crunchy and worked well after soaking up some broth before eating.
Double Choice Side Dishes $40
You can choose two out of many side dishes. We chose 3 pieces of fried tofu and some dried tofu, and the portion was quite generous. It's a good deal for only $40. The side dishes themselves are light, but when you add the sweet soy sauce, they take on a sweeter taste.
