For a while, our family often dined at this place. When there wasn't a roast meat shop next door (?), we would eat in. After renovations, we haven't eaten here since, and since we hadn’t ordered other items, we simply chose what we wanted to eat that day.
▪️ King Chives Fresh Shrimp Rice Noodle Roll (3 pieces) $158
I didn't take a photo of this dish (it's on the receipt), and I can't remember if we used to order it, but this one... the skin is too thick to be true, it's like they wrapped shrimp in rice noodles... really a bit of a question mark?? I have no memory of it being this thick before.
▪️ Pan-fried Radish Cake (3 pieces) $138
Just like I remembered, pretty tasty. However, it became softer and mushy by the time I brought it home. The exterior didn't have the crispy texture of freshly pan-fried, but it still tasted good with the sauce.
▪️ Baked Crispy Roast Pork Buns (3 pieces) $158
I’ve always remembered one of the best things here being the roast pork buns!! But this time, I felt that... it was completely different from my memory 🥲. It seems sweeter, and the filling's meat was mushy... While it wasn’t inedible, it just didn’t taste very good at all.
Overall, it’s been so long since I last ate here that I don’t know if my taste has changed or if the place has changed. This time, it just didn’t appeal to me; the radish cake was okay, but I likely won’t consider coming back for now.
