The dishes, including the crispy fried chicken and shrimp with mayonnaise sauce, and the flavorful udon soup with salmon and clams, were delicious and well-prepared.
The restaurant is conveniently located in a food court above Banqiao MRT station, offering a pleasant spot for a meal before shopping.
The service was efficient, enhancing the dining experience with quick and attentive staff.
We have always loved Japanese cuisine. After browsing through the Global Food Court above the Banqiao MRT station, we chose "Yayoi." The menu photos at the entrance showcased the set meals we wanted to try. We have also tried set meals from other branches, which we really enjoyed.
This time we chose two sets, one fried and one boiled, suitable for sharing.
(1) Double Shrimp Nanban Fried Chicken Set: The fried chicken is crispy and perfectly seasoned, with a sauce (based on mayonnaise) for dipping. The fried shrimp is dipped in a white radish and soy sauce.
(2) Japanese-style Yosenabe Hot Pot Set: The udon soup is delicious, combining salmon, clams, vegetables, mushrooms (and enoki mushrooms), among others.
It was a very tasty lunch set. After eating, we walked around the Global Shopping District to digest. After shopping, we took the MRT home.
My experience was better than I was expecting, but I came in without high expectations. The place feels a bit cramped due to its long and narrow layout, but seating itself was fine. I was happy with the food and the service is also quite responsive. You can refill on things like pickled radish which we did a lot and you order on the tablet and it comes right away. The mackerel I ordered was especially satisfying.
