It is a famous restaurant in Sandimen, Pingtung. It serves Hakka cuisine and many Taiwanese dishes. The most famous one is roast chicken!
During the Spring Festival, roast chicken basically requires a reservation. We made a reservation early that day, but we were lucky enough to still have a seat. If we had just waited for a table on site, we would have had to wait for an outdoor seat.

However, we still ordered a few home-cooked dishes that day, and half of them were eaten before I could take a photo😅so there are no photos of this part~

Due to the large crowds that day, the store staff were overwhelmed and often missed deliveries. We need to be constantly reminded that without these mistakes, the food would have been served very quickly and the food would be delicious! It was wiped out instantly!

The restaurant is relatively remote, and you basically have to drive to get there. There is a parking lot in front of the store, and there is also a second parking lot not far away (basically an open space). Unless there are a lot of people during the Spring Festival, there is no need to worry about not having a seat. Stop👌

Game Crispy Creek Fish and Shrimp $570 Crispy fried fish and shrimps, eaten directly in the shell, a great dish to go with rice!
Nine tail grass stewed local chicken soup $580 After counting the stew ingredients carefully, there should be more than nine tail grass, red dates, and wolfberry (there is also an ingredient that looks like a branch, but I don’t know what it is) After all, it is simmered in the soup, so the local chicken will be a little dry, but compared to the chicken soup I usually drink, the meat is tender, chewy and a little juicy. Although it contains Chinese medicinal materials, the soup does not have a medicinal taste. It is a stomach-warming and delicious chicken soup.
Handmade Hakka Peanut Tofu $250 The most special dish, I highly recommend it, a must-try! Even in Hakka restaurants, it is difficult to eat Hakka peanut tofu. This is salty food! It's a bit like soft and glutinous rice cakes with salty sauce, but it still has a faint peanut fragrance. It's so cold that you'll want to take another bite!
Crispy Golden Soy Milk Fried Chicken $450 Different from the soy milk fried chicken outside, which mostly consists of meat, this plate of fried chicken is meant to be chewed! Fried chicken contains bones and even chicken feet are fried. So besides eating fried chicken, you can also suck in the aroma of the bones and eat the meat with chicken juice! Watch out for bone spurs!
Sichuan Spicy Sautéed Sausage $390 This dish is basically not too spicy, but I think the best part is that the intestines are handled very well! The intestines were a bit chewy and soft overall. At first, I even misunderstood them as bean curd food, but they were cleaned very clean, without any fishy smell, and cooked just right!
Chef’s handmade gold and silver filigree rolls $220 Fried silver rolls, served with condensed milk and peanut powder, this is a must-try!
Sauce-fried mountain bamboo shoots $340 Everyone ordered extra dishes because they were too hungry. The portion of mountain bamboo shoots was quite large, and the stir-fried mountain bamboo shoots were not very noticeable. It tasted like a refreshing stir-fried mountain bamboo shoots.
Bucket Chicken I won’t mark the price. It’s $650 on the menu, but I heard it’s more than $800 (I’m not sure which price I got when ordering) Roast chicken basically requires reservation before ordering, but most people make reservations before coming, so basically there is a chicken on every table! If the chicken is grilled well, the meat will be delicious! No need to add any additional seasonings, it tastes great!
Grilled chicken comes with a pair of gloves. In addition to plastic gloves, there are also thick gloves on the inside to prevent burns. (Just leave it to a professional grilled chicken expert!)
If you really feel it's not flavorful enough, the store actually comes with soy sauce and chili, so you can pour it in yourself. Basically, it can be dipped in anything 👌 It all depends on your personal taste. (I also got the silver thread curls 😂)
