Location: Da'an District, Taipei City
A super hard-to-book Instagrammable bistro
I wanted to eat here about a week in advance,
but there were hardly any seats available.
There are just so many bistros in Taipei, it’s too easy to choose another place.
So this one has been lingering on my list without a reservation.
It wasn't until our group of friends had a day off on a weekday
that we finally managed to book a table, and I was incredibly excited to go.
🌟 French Duck Risotto with Black Truffle Oil
The staff introduced it as last year's bestseller,
and it’s a classic signature dish from this restaurant.
I prefer my rice a bit softer, so I informed the restaurant.
The texture was perfect for me.
The seasoning was delicious, and the truffle and meat flavors blended well in the rice.
The duck was prepared excellently, so tender that I could easily tear it apart using utensils.
I didn’t have to awkwardly gnaw on it, so as a lazy person,
I ended up letting my friends finish it after just a couple of bites. 😂
🌟 Spicy Creamy Shrimp Pasta
This dish is my absolute favorite. 😍
The combination of spicy and creamy flavors
never disappoints and is extraordinarily delicious.
The pasta was cooked to perfection,
and the sauce clung nicely to it.
As I was too lazy to peel the shrimp, I let my friends eat those,
so I didn’t get to try them.
🌟 Caramel Invitation from the Mist
This is also a signature dish of the restaurant.
Overall, the texture was very crunchy,
and quite delicious!
Highly recommended.
Overall, whether it was the service or the food,
it was above standard.
If I had to point out a downside,
I’d say the portions were a bit refined,
and due to too many customers,
the dining time was strictly limited to two hours.
When I ordered a second drink, I ended up chugging it at the end.
What a pity. 😌
