🥢 I tried Pearl at Biyang today, going in with the expectation that “Xiangbin Group shouldn't disappoint.” However, the service remained attentive and the attitude was good, but the difference in the quality of the dishes was so shocking that I was left speechless halfway through…😅

🍲 Jade Seaweed Silverfish Soup (290 NTD)
This was the most unappetizing dish of the day, completely inedible. It came out looking like clear soup, and after the first sip, I put down my chopsticks. There was no soup thickness, no saltiness, no taste of chicken broth, no freshness from clams; it felt like “a bowl of warm seaweed water.” I barely took one sip and didn’t touch it again; it was truly unacceptable.

🍅 Pickled Tomatoes (65 NTD)
The sauce was decent, but the tomatoes were hard and not fresh, with a strange texture; it felt less like bad taste and more like “it’s not right.” At least it wasn’t as bad as the soup.

🥬 Egg Braised Napa Cabbage (260 NTD)
The egg had a clearly off oil taste, and it didn’t feel good from the first bite.

🎋 Braised Bamboo Shoots (230 NTD)
Completely lacking flavor, it felt like two ingredients were just awkwardly together without any harmony.

🍳 Pan-fried Scrambled Egg with Green Vegetable (250 NTD)
This was the most normal dish of the day, with a relatively stable flavor.

🐷 Sanfeng Braised Pork (390 NTD)
Not braised thoroughly, the meat itself had no flavor and relied on the sauce to be palatable.

🍚 White Rice | Unlimited
Performed normally.

🙇‍♂️ Overall, while the service was genuinely good, the quality of the dishes was far too inconsistent compared to other brands of the group, especially when the soup was served, I knew it was going to be a bad day. I hope they can adjust moving forward; otherwise, it will be hard to make a return with this standard.
