I've often passed by but never tried it. After learning more, I found out it used to be a popular spot on Long'an Street, and now it has moved to a more beautiful storefront on Zhongshan Road 🤩
The exterior has a very Okinawan feel, and with the small lanterns 🏮, it feels like an izakaya in Okinawa 😆
The menu is right at the entrance, and after ordering, you can head to the beverage area to pick your favorite drinks while waiting for your food to be served 😋
In the beverage area, if you don't drink alcohol, I highly recommend the osmanthus-flavored iced drink; it's super refreshing and has a subtle osmanthus scent 👍 The Thai milk tea isn't too sweet, making it perfect for those who prefer a lighter taste 😆
Garlic White Hairtail Roll:
I highly recommend the garlic white hairtail roll from the BBQ 🙌🏻 It's crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a generous amount of garlic paired with lemon that is truly delightful. Having a sip of beer 🍻 with it is really enjoyable 😋
Sesame Fried Tofu:
The sesame fried tofu is also very good 👍 It uses egg tofu, which adds an eggy aroma, and the texture, being crispy on the outside and tender inside, paired with homemade sesame sauce is a great match 👍 It’s a dish that kids also love 😙
Crispy Chicken Steak:
At 70 NT dollars, the portion size is decent, and the traditional sweet potato flour chicken steak has a nostalgic flavor, being crispy and delicious 😋 If you like sauces, you can add 5 NT dollars to make it a sauced chicken steak 👏
Salt-Grilled Large Shrimp:
The shrimp are quite large, and just when I was about to take a bite, I realized they were already shelled 😳 It's definitely a must-order for the lazy 😆
Grilled Items:
The other grilled items are also well done, and the sauce isn’t overly sweet; it's rather salty, which I personally love, as places in the north tend to be less sweet 😆
