A local favorite | The only local-flavored black tea shop 🥤
Mingquan Black Tea is one of the three well-known traditional black tea shops in Beitou.
I've been buying from here for many years since I was little. The old shop was located at the corner of an old apartment building, and every time I bought Mingquan, I had to queue up for a long time. I often came to buy a whole bag of traditional black tea to take home and chill for a leisurely drink.
Since moving to its current location, it’s been a while since my last visit. This time, I found that the price has increased significantly 😌 The value for money has dropped a lot.

☕️ Black Tea with Milk and Honey (Large $60):
This time I ordered a signature item from Mingquan.
The name was a bit hard to understand at first, but it’s essentially milk tea with cream and tender grass jelly.
The sweetness is about half sugar. The black tea has a refreshing aroma typical of traditional black tea, and it pairs very well with the grass jelly.
What’s special is that the grass jelly is cut very finely into strips, rather than being a large piece, which creates a harmonious texture.
