"Jin Crane is located on Jiafeng Road in Zhubei and is a popular Italian restaurant that often has full seating during meal times. The overall space is spacious and bright, with a relaxed atmosphere suitable for group dining. The menu offers a rich variety of options, with a complete selection from appetizers and pasta to desserts.
The opening dish, the salad, performed well; the portion was quite generous, the vegetables were fresh, and paired with the dressing, it had a refreshing taste, making it a great appetizer. The starter, the Volcanic Butter Fried Chicken, was the most surprising dish of the meal. With a crispy exterior and juicy chicken, the accompanying sauce added a slight spiciness and acidity, creating a distinctive flavor profile that prevented the fried chicken from being greasy.
For the main courses, the Hokkaido Scallop and Sea Urchin Pasta had a strong seafood flavor. The umami of the sea urchin blended well with the sauce, and the scallops were quite large, offering a rich texture; it was a pasta with a strong presence of seafood. The Truffle Short Rib Risotto also performed consistently well. The short rib was cooked perfectly, tender, and combined with the aroma of truffles and the smoothness of the poached egg, creating a harmonious overall flavor; it was a very well-executed main dish.
Unfortunately, the Margherita Pizza fell short. The tomato flavor was not prominent enough, and the crust lacked elasticity and aroma, making this classic pizza seem a bit bland.
In terms of desserts, the Salted Egg Yolk Soufflé was a highlight. The soufflé had a very tender texture, melting in the mouth, and the combination of salted egg yolk aroma and sweetness was quite good. In contrast, the Tiramisu seemed ordinary, lacking in flavor and layers.
Overall, Jin Crane excels in appetizers and some main dishes, but there is room for improvement in its pizza and some desserts. It remains a suitable Italian restaurant for gatherings with diverse options."
