Affordable Curry Place with a Basic Menu for Around $200 👍

📌 Location: Taichung - China Medical University
In the school district, near hospitals, and close to the Yizhong commercial area,
this curry restaurant is quite popular in the vicinity,
and I've seen a good number of recommendations for it.
After dining here, I found it really deserves the praise 👍

We dined as a group of three, each ordering a different type of curry.
Overall, the performance was:
1️⃣ Fast service
2️⃣ The fried items were excellent - thin, crispy, and juicy
3️⃣ Ample curry sauce
You'll experience the original deliciousness of the food.

I’ll let the photos speak for the dishes,
but here are some details about our dining experience:
1️⃣ There’s a wait
We visited on a Sunday around 1 PM.
Although it was past the main meal time,
the place was still full and we had to wait in line.
However, the wait wasn’t too long;
I didn't time it precisely, but it felt like around 10 minutes!

The restaurant is indeed small, probably accommodating around 20 people,
mostly with two-person tables and a few four-person tables,
so you might need to consider the number of people in your party.

2️⃣ Fast food delivery
After we placed our order and settled the bill,
the first plate of curry arrived in less than 3 minutes,
and the last plate, which was fried pork cutlet and shrimp, came within 7 minutes.

3️⃣ Narrow space
The restaurant has a long, narrow layout,
with limited seating;
there's enough distance between tables,
but it doesn’t feel very spacious.

4️⃣ Quick clearing of plates
They don’t rush your dining time, but as soon as you finish,
staff quickly come to clear the tables.
You can feel that the staff pay attention to each table’s guests
without being overly intrusive, which is great 👍

Overall, this is a restaurant I'd choose for gatherings with friends or when I want to eat here myself.
The only minor downsides are the narrow space and potentially high wait times,
but I highly recommend this affordable gourmet spot! 👍

Fried Chicken King Curry $170 Fried items are a must-order at this curry place, and the top recommendation is definitely the fried chicken! The other fried items are also quite good 😌 What's surprisingly different is that the fried chicken doesn't seem to be fried in individual pieces, but rather it's fried whole and then cut! You'll understand once you see it!
Curry pork chop $190 + large fried shrimp $35 The pork chop is very large and thick! The skin is thin and juicy, but personally, I still prefer fried chicken. 😋
Django King Curry $200 It's a main dish that isn't fried, and the stewed beef is quite tender, but the fried chicken is still tastier 🤣 (Sorry, this is really just my personal preference) However, the one eating the beef also thinks the fried chicken is more appealing 😂
The spicy part We originally thought that the "spicy" on the menu indicated the difference between spicy curry and non-spicy curry. However, we didn't expect that it simply meant adding chili oil, so the curry sauce is all the same! The difference between extra spicy, medium spicy, and mild spicy lies only in the amount of chili sauce used. At first, we were a bit disappointed to see the chili sauce, as we were expecting spicy curry. But later, we found that their chili sauce was very fragrant! It’s definitely worth a try! The portion in the photo is mild spicy, but for us who usually don’t eat spicy food, it felt a bit too spicy 🥵. I recommend it for friends who can and dare to eat spicy food; however, for those who are very afraid of spice and can't handle it at all, I wouldn't recommend it.
Here it comes, here it comes This is the inside of the fried chicken (after taking a bite) The skin is very thin, the meat is very thick, and you can taste the chicken juice. 👍
Fried Chicken Cross-Section I didn’t cut this; just flip the fried chicken over, and you’ll get this kind of cross-section! Actually, I’m pretty happy to see this! After all, eating fried chicken often comes with guilt, because every piece is covered in skin. But by frying it well and then cutting it, the part covered in batter is much less! The guilt is greatly reduced 😝!
Side Dish: Sesame Corn Shoots $35 A small plate, but gives a lot of strips! I think it's worth it!
Miso Soup $25 A bowl is quite generous with ingredients, including kelp, tofu, and enoki mushrooms. Drinking it warms you up and leaves you very satisfied!
Here's the menu! It's very similar to ordering ramen, where each person can customize their own choices.
In-store photo (from outside to inside) The elongated store is indeed not very spacious.

The small decorations in the store are quite cute, but it's not convenient to stay for long (after all, the space in the store is limited).
