I have always loved the dishes at Mingda Pavilion. I have previously tried delicious (local Taiwanese) main courses like cherry duck and mullet. During the pandemic, it was closed for a while. After reopening, the management team has changed as well. Following a friend's invitation, I had to try the new Mediterranean-style dishes.
There were quite a few of us. Fortunately, we were arranged to have lunch in a private room that is usually not opened on weekdays. We could enjoy good food while chatting. The Mediterranean scenery painted on the wall was as beautiful as the dishes served today.
Everyone chose the five-course set menu. I selected duck for the appetizer and fish for the main course, which happened to be the same types of meat I had tried before (duck and fish). The bread and creamy soup were already delicious. The next dishes were even more impressive.
Shredded duck with lettuce was a great combination. The fish was crispy and paired wonderfully with the Mediterranean vegetables — it was such a delight. Finally, with berry cheesecake and black tea, the lunch ended on a wonderful note. I definitely want to bring more people here in the future.
