A strong cold wave is hitting, and having a bowl of hot ramen to warm the stomach and body is an excellent choice.

Since I happened to be nearby, I opened Google Maps to see which ramen shops I hadn't tried yet and discovered Menya Itto, so I decided to give it a try.

In the restaurant, you order by scanning a QR code. I looked at the menu, and most of the dishes didn't quite match my personal taste, but I thought, since I'm here, it would be strange not to order at least something. So, I ordered the charred chicken and pork ramen.

Let's get to the conclusion first: I was a bit disappointed.

First of all, the soul of ramen—the broth—was very sparse in quantity and, more importantly, not particularly tasty. Additionally, it's not a drawback, but the broth had some spiciness, which anyone wanting to try it should be aware of.

As for the noodles, you can choose the hardness, and I selected normal, but they were incredibly hard—much harder than the noodles at other ramen shops—and not very chewy either, making them quite difficult to bite through.

As for the toppings, they all felt quite average, with nothing particularly special about them.

Finally, after the meal, they serve a scoop of ice cream. This time it seemed to be vanilla-flavored, but I didn't eat it.
