The Sishen Soup at Lao Weng’s house is very good, but today I ordered leg meat noodles and braised pork rice which I have never tried before.
The braised pork rice is full of flavor and the rice is full, which is up to standard but not particularly amazing.
The leg meat noodles are stewed in a clear soup base. The soup tastes very comfortable, with a hint of ginger and sesame oil but not overwhelming. There are quite a lot of noodles, the leg meat is half fat and half lean, fat but not greasy and chewy, thin but chewy but not sticky, all cooked very delicious! Will be served with raw chili pepper and soy sauce.
