Review by a braces person: The restroom is on the first floor with many sinks outdoors.
The Qingshui Service Area has recently completed renovations and began trial operations on November 15. I happened to pass by, so I decided to stop in to take a look and grab a bite to eat. The interior space of the service area is spacious, with plenty of seating, and the overall feel is comfortable.
When I reached the third floor, I saw Miao Dong Qingshui Pork Rib Noodles and decided to give it a try. Although it wasn’t even 10 AM yet, there were already people lining up. Besides à la carte options, the store also offers set meals to choose from.
We ordered two bowls, respectively:
Fengyuan Miao Dong Pork Rib Crispy Noodles for 130 TWD
Fengyuan Miao Dong Pork Rib Crispy Rice Noodles for 130 TWD
The price of 130 TWD is not considered cheap, but it is common for this kind of pricing at a rest area. The pork rib noodle dish looked good; the noodles are served in a whole ball in the bowl, which you need to stir to separate. The rice noodles have a finer texture. For the crispy pork ribs, one bowl was somewhat soft, while the other bowl was a bit hard and difficult to chew. The broth tasted quite oily, and overall, I didn’t really enjoy the flavor. In comparison, I personally prefer the taste and texture of Zhu Dong Qiujis Pork Rib Crispy Noodles.
